Slowly but surely

I took a mental break after my first b-school application was submitted last week. Starting to slowly, but surely, work on the next one. I am only submitting two applications this fall and will submit more in January if necessary. Next deadline: November 1, McCombs School of Business at UT Austin.

In other news, we hosted an Oktoberfest party on Saturday. My husband brews his own beer and its one of our favorite fall time traditions. Prost! (P.S. this is not a picture of my husband)

Another one bites the dust

Application to Stanford submitted! I celebrated with wine, spinach bacon pasta and wine. Oh, and this video because it kicks so much nerdy ass.

The name of the game we play

Procrastination. Did I also mention that as one of the reasons I wanted to start a blog? Because it could be one of them. I have my first application due in FIVE days and I can't get off the internet. Go Go Gadget Essay Writing!

Hot to Trot

Starting fast out of the gate. My name is Amy and this is my blog to track how far I go in the next year or so -- See Amy Go. I am currently applying to business schools for enrollment in fall 2011. Starting b-school will entail a long-distance move with a husband and two dogs, so I hope to chronicle the application process, savings goals for school and the move, decluttering and preparing for an impending move, and the occasional running goal. Ready? Go!

And an aside about my identity: I plan on initially keeping this blog anonymous, with the hope of sharing more once my applications are complete. This is just for purposes of keeping my decision quiet at my workplace, though my supervisor has been fabulously supportive of my decision.
